My brother found one in a steel building he was demo'ing a few years back.

It met it's end in a hail of 7.62mm fire..

I had one of these early Compaq bad boys.

I got to play around with all the old/original "portable" compaq's in the late 80's. Worked for my friend's parents, who owned a PI company and did a lot of work for Compaq in Houston.
 
Used one for a few years. The first laptop if you had a$$ big lap.

Kaypro was built in San Diego (Solana Beach), Andy Kay made a lot of us some $$ back then, we supplied a variety of electronic components to them. :clapping:
